The short answer

Skills Axis Australia is an integrated workforce partner based in Brisbane, serving regional Queensland. We combine industry-aligned training and Recognition of Prior Learning, skilled recruitment and workforce planning, and employer sponsorship and migration support — run as one engagement rather than three suppliers. Employers get one diagnosis and one sequence; individuals get their existing skills recognised and connected to real vacancies, never for a fee.

Choose your path

Two very different problems

Employers and individuals need different things from us. Start where you actually are.

For employers

Build a workforce that stays

Vacancies you can’t fill, staff without the qualification a contract requires.

  • Recruit skilled, verified workers
  • Sponsorship and visa pathways
  • Staff training and RPL
  • Regional workforce solutions

For individuals

Turn what you can do into what you’re paid for

Years of experience and no certificate to show for it.

  • Have your existing skills recognised
  • Gain an Australian qualification
  • Find real employment opportunities
  • Understand sponsorship options

How it fits together

One connected workforce solution

We find the workforce gap, source the people, close qualification gaps through training or RPL, and coordinate sponsorship only where a genuine gap remains.

Four colleagues reviewing a workforce plan on paper together

Recruit. Qualify. Sponsor. In that order.

Most providers do one of these. When three suppliers handle them, the gaps between them become your problem.

  • Diagnose the requirement, not the vacancy
  • Recruit locally before looking wider
  • Close qualification gaps through training or RPL
  • Sponsor only what genuinely remains
How we work with employers
Industries

Depth in a few sectors

Where the three services genuinely interlock.

Aged care & disability support

Tight qualification requirements and sustained demand.

Hospitality & commercial cookery

Skilled people whose experience has never been formally assessed.

Civil construction & engineering

Tickets, licences and currency that need active tracking.

Questions

Frequently asked

What does Skills Axis Australia do?

We connect three services usually bought separately: industry-aligned training and Recognition of Prior Learning, skilled recruitment and workforce planning, and employer sponsorship and migration support. Employers brief us once and we work out which combination actually solves the problem.

Do you work with employers, individuals, or both?

Both, but the engagements differ. Employers come to us with workforce problems — unfillable roles, qualification gaps, sponsorship questions. Individuals come to have existing skills recognised, gain a qualification, or find work. Recruitment fees are paid by employers; individuals are never charged to be placed in a role.

Where are you based and where do you work?

Level 3, 160 Edward Street, Brisbane QLD 4000. We work across Brisbane and regional Queensland, and nationally where an employer engagement warrants it.

Who delivers the training and issues the qualification?

Registered Training Organisations deliver and certify nationally recognised training. Where we arrange training or RPL, the responsible RTO, its registration details, the qualification title, fees and enrolment terms are confirmed in writing before enrolment.

How do I start?

A free 30-minute scoping conversation. Employers can also start with the free sponsorship readiness assessment, which gives a written five-part output whether or not you engage us.
